VZ Tuition Assistance One-Time Waiver |
|
The Company plans to offer employees a one-time waiver of the repayment obligation under the Tuition Assistance Plan (“TAP”) for employees enrolled in a course(s) with an end date from March 1, 2020 through July 31, 2020. This one-time waiver applies to an employee who drops, fails or withdraws from a course(s) due a COVID-19 related reason. The cost of these courses will not be applied against the annual tuition cap. Employees seeking the waiver will be required to complete a COVID-19 TAP One-Time Waiver request form.

VCS TIPP PAYMENT |

The amount of the award for each currently active technician who was on the payroll on or before January 1, 2019 through June 30, 2019 is as follows:

Altice VRP |

ATTENTION ALTICE MEMBERS: VRP OFFERED
Local 827 along with the CWA have been notified by Altice-USA of their intent on offering a Voluntary Retirement Package (VRP) to our members. In order for this offer to be extended to any bargaining unit employee, the Unions would need to be in agreement on the terms of the offer.

ATTENTION-Important tax info for Long Term Disability recipients of Verizon |
|
Incorrect W-2s for 2018 have been distributed to Long Term Disability recipients of Verizon. Long Term Disability (LTD) is when your disability extends beyond 52 weeks.
Corrected W-2s (W-2C) will be mailed to affected members along with an outreach call from Sedgewick explaining the situation.
LTD benefits were incorrectly reflected as taxable income (Sick pay is non-taxable in NJ).

VZ CPS Award |
|
The CPS Award for plan year 2018 is $799.00. The award will be pro-rated for part-time employees and those employees who participated for more than 3 months but less than 12 months in the plan year. Associates will receive an email on March 1 advising them of the award amount and that it will be paid in their March 8, 2019 paychecks.
